Lost GCSEs certificate

Is it possible I took ALAN adult literacy and numeracy in high school? Uk? I definitely took it and need a replacement certificate but I am not sure where I took the exam as my childhood and teen years are a blur !

Hi there,

Usually if you have lost a certificate from a qualification then you can contact the exam board you sat it under to get a replacement certificate or a statement of your results. If you have no idea who that will be then you could try contacting your school where you took the exams and ask them to tell you who the exam board was for your exam year? If it has been a while then it may take a bit of digging but hopefully they can figure it out and give you some guidance for who to contact next 😊 I'm sure you won't be the only call they've had asking a similar thing over the years!

There's a link to the government website -> here - which has some advice on getting a replacement exam certificate and what to do if your old exam board no longer exists.

As a mature student I can emphasise with hanging onto exam certificates over the years! Good luck!
