Newcastle Law

I’ve received a place from Newcastle for next year, however I didn’t receive a contextual offer and think I’m eligible.

I’m so confused as to what they’ve asked from me in this reply email ⬇️

Thank you for your enquiry.

You should have received an email inviting you to register for our Apply to Newcastle Portal. This email was sent to the address used in your UCAS application.

Once registered, you can use the portal to:
Upload supporting documents for your application
Raise and respond to enquiries with the Admissions Team
Request a review of your offer conditions by submitting an enquiry
You may also be interested in applying for our PARTNERS Programme, which offers eligible applicants a reduced offer—up to three grades lower than the standard. For the Law LLB Honours programme, this would mean entry requirements of BBB at A Level. Applications for the PARTNERS Programme can be submitted via the Apply to Newcastle Portal

What is this partners program thing and also what is the Newcastle admissions portal? Is there a second application thing you need to do on their website? I’ve logged into the admissions portal and it shows “submitted application” and then the details of the application I made via UCAS. I’m not sure how this solves my problem of requesting a contextual offer which I’m eligible for…? There’s no options to request a review of my offer conditions.

I think you have to apply for the Partners scheme seperately and then commit to attend a summer school (this summer) to be eligible for contextual offer. But you are best of phoning admissions and asking. They were super helpful when I phoned them and asked about something else. But I know from other posts that there was a deadline for doing this by. It did seem to be in reverse to other Uni's where you have to do the contextual pathways in the year prior to application. Best of luck.

Hi, if you think you are eligible for a PARTNERS programme offer, you can confirm this and apply here : https://www.ncl.ac.uk/partners/how-to-apply/ . The PARTNERS team will access your application once you have submitted it and let the admissions team know the outcome of your application!
