How Did Everyone Find BPhO Round 1 2025?

Personally, I found section 2 rather easier than section 1. When I first started section 1 some of the questions were dodgy especially when at the beginning I thought we had 1hr 20min in the exam but no. I think this years paper was difficult than the previous years. Thoughts anyone?

Section 1 had harder questions than last year imo and the time cut certainly didn't help; what were they thinking? I think I was able to get an okay number of the questions right but I did worse than 2024 (done as practise). Section 2 was also bad but I was able to get decent answers for most of what I did (Q2-3).

I feel like the time cut was very unecessary but I also for some reason feel like the bpho is trying to get a stronger team through this, especially with establishing BPhO round 0 which was already quite difficult. Grade boundaries should definitley go down, but then again last yr ppl said that and it went up to 58 for a top gold.

To be fair last year's paper was relatively easy, top gold hasn't been above 50 since 2020 if you disregard 2024.

So do you think grade biundaries will go down this year?

Did anyone do the solar sails question and remember what they got for the part where you had to find how much its speed changed in 6 months or something I'm worried my answer was wrong
