Can any students/people who've already been there give me some tips?

Hey leeloveslanguage, 👋

It's so great to hear you have received an offer for Linguistics, Modern Languages & Cultures at Sheffield!

The disability support at Sheffield is really amazing. We have a Disability and Dyslexia Support Service (DDSS) which includes a range of different services including disability advisors, learning and support plans, student inclusion officers. There's also ways to have exam adjustments if needed, support workers for help in proof-reading assignments, and tailored orientations, all designed with you to suit whatever needs you may have.

The support really is amazing and I now know why Sheffield is partiucalrly known for its great disability support services.

Again, there is a lot of LGBT+ support. You can get LGBT+ accommodation, and there are also LGBT+ spaces within the Students Union for you to use. There is also a students union officer dedicated to representing and campaigning for students from marginalised and liberation groups and communities.

Please let me know if you have anymore questions and I will be more than happy to help.

All best wishes,
Phoebe 😃
