TMUA and ESAT Results

Hi Everyone, I was one of the few able to check my ESAT and TMUA results before they were officially released. I got a 4.5 TMUA and 4.3 5.7 2.7 in the ESAT.

My academic profile:
A*A*A*A* (1 of 7/143 in my cohort) Maths FM Physics CS
99999888774 GCSE
Top 100 Isaac Physics and Qualified for Round 1 BPhO
and a couple other things

I’ve applied to Cambridge Engineering and Maths w/ Physics at Imperial and Maths at LSE.

I’m worried my Admissions test results let my application down hugely, what are my chances for each of the stated universities? Given I have an above average PS and reference.

You've definetly still got a chance, if the rest of your application is good. Both unis look at your application holistically so one bad element won't make or break your application.

Although majority of successful applicants probably have 6+ scores, there are definetly still individuals who gets in with 4. I mean you never know until you know right?

Hopefully, I’ve known Cambridge for viewing this holistically with the whole interviewing process and all, but Imperial, I’m less hopeful for. I think I’m good enough, I just didn’t do as well on the day i guess.

Your admissions test scores aren’t perfect, but the rest of your profile is significantly above typical applicant level. You’re nowhere near “out.” Cambridge especially will want to see how you think at interview, and LSE is probably your strongest shot.

Alright, thanks for the kind words, I’m still waiting on an interview invite from cambridge. what about Imperial? Is that completely gone now based off the TMUA score then?
