A level choices

I'm thinking of taking Maths, Design Engineering and Classical Civilisation for A levels. Is this combination really bad?

I think it depends on what you want to do in the future. If university is your goal, look at the kind of degree you want to do and its grade requirements, usually you need at least one relevant a-level for degree. In my opinion, its good to have an a-level you simply enjoy to have time of from your others and keep you sane haha

best of luck

Hi @sahqrz

I hope you are well! If you think you will enjoy the A Levels that you have chosen and it is what you are interested in then I would say that is perfect! You want to be able to enjoy your studies as that is a huge part of the motivation behind the revision and all of the work you will put in! If you choose an A Level that you think will be good for the future but in fact you have zero interest in it then you will find it extremely hard to put the work in and therefore risk getting a bad grade that will not help you at all in the future!

I enjoyed 2/3 of my A Levels and can say from experience that the one subject I did not like, I struggled really bad with being able to revise and get the work done. I had to get my head down and try very hard to get the best possible grade I could but looking back now I definitely would have picked another subject that I knew I would have enjoyed!

I hope this response has helped, let me know if you have any other questions, I am more than happy to help!

Thanks, Matt 🙂
