The GOV.UK website gives a comprehensive overview of how it operates.

Costs would vary on the attempts taken and the number of lessons he takes with an instructor (if any).

The test is not notoriously difficult, but the standard is high. It's not unheard of to fail once or twice before passing.

Oh my God... I wondering if there is any insiders who get paid to pass...?

Because think about it ...since someone who already knows how to drive get failed this must to be a money grabbers corruption ... i got a work colleague (which I asked him in behalf of the other one who is trying to get his drive lincese in the U.K. and also already knows how to drive) who already drives for over 15 years and since he came from another country he has to authenticate here and get a UK drive license, so he can legally drive in the UK however he said they failed him twice ...😲😲😲

Oh well it is what it is.

Thank you for your reply

Highly unlikely. Civil servants in this country take their jobs seriously and there are clear anti-corruption processes in place.
International drivers have a separate process. So yes, for a period of time, they can still fail the test and drive away as if nothing happened. After a period of time (12 months iirc), they will have to drive with the same rules (as if they've never had their international license).

Yeah that's what I thought... but so much we are seeing at moment corruption wise that I wouldn't be surprise if this things would be happening .... we hear so many things like consulate issuing passports for those willing to pay the price they are also organisations we would put our trust or those securities in Heathrow who were connected with cartels and got drugs getting in the UK for several years...

But anyways thanks for your answers it was actually very helpful and as someone who doesn't drive in the UK I had no idea about the process for the international drivers...

I will defeniatly pass you valuable info to him...

Thank you very much indeed 😊😊😊
