Mature Student (38) needing a great tutor for maths and physics

Dear student friends,

First of all, thank you for sharing all the info and support in this platform. It is an overwhelming journey with lots of ads and platforms that steal your money and waste your time with average content.

I am a mature student and want to give uni a shot. I am 38 and need a tutor for maths and physics A Levels, any recommendations? Platforms for self study? If you could help me it would be sooooooo incredible! I am quite lost to be honest and I am a bit time constraint.

THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!

For A-Level Maths I recommend Woody:
Courses for A-Level Maths
Courses for A-Level Further Maths
He is an Oxford University graduate in PPE. But has taught in top schools and had his students achieve some of the top marks in A-Level Maths and A-Level Further Maths in the country. 🙂
Up Learn: is excellent for Physics. Because 97% of students get an A* or A grade. 😉 Don't waste your money on a tutor.

Thank you so much for your feedback!! I was just looking at UpLearn and it seems amazing! Also looking into Medly AI for revision etc.

I am currently studying with NEC and they cover Edexcel... UpLearn covers the AQA examboard... All of this very tricky I must say 😅... Any online platform you also recommend for AQA Physics?

I truly appreciate your response... Thank you so so so much!!!

Unfortunately not for Physics. I know UpLearn has a 97% A*/A pass rate.

You should use YouTube for Physics as there are a lot of YouTube channels by lecturers and tutors. 🙂

I'm a teacher and would ignore any recommendtions on here as you do not know who is recommending them -

For maths there's a huge number of free website and youtube videos.

Dr Frost is free to sign up and is brilliant for Maths. https://www.drfrost.org/students

What course do you intend to study at University? Check with admissions teams and see if they accept Access to Higher education diplomas and you will be taught physics and maths.

Hi! They don't accept them, so I have no choice but to do A Levels...

Why do you need a tutor if you are already studying with the NEC? They offer tutorials/masterclasses already. Which universities don't accept access to higher education? Private tutors are really expensive so your better off saving your money and enrol on college or stay with NEC.
