I’m a final year law student currently and don’t have any clue what I want to do in the future but I know I definitely don’t want to be a lawyer lol. Tbh I was always way more interested in languages/linguistics but picked law because it’s more employable.
I’m at Oxford currently and have had a love/hate relationship with Oxford the entire time I’ve been here. I like studying/reading and some parts I’ve found extremely interesting but other times I’ve just completely hated it. But I’m on track to get at least a 2:1 in my finals.
I’d be looking at Lancaster for a masters as out of the three unis I’ve found that do forensic linguistics, I can’t afford Cardiff (although the course looked the most appealing) and I don’t want to live in Birmingham so that leaves Lancaster.
But is it really worth doing a masters just because I think it looks interesting/I’d enjoy studying it and I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up? Or would I just be wasting all my savings to not really increase my employment prospects?
