I’m feeling stuck and not sure what to do

Hello everyone,

I’m 16 and currently homeschooled, but I haven’t really done any proper work since the start of October. I was originally doing an American curriculum because I thought I’d be studying in the US, but that plan fell through, and now I’m behind by almost a whole term for A-Levels.

I feel really stuck. I want to do well and improve myself, my GCSEs were quite average, but I know I can do better. I’d like to eventually move to Singapore and study law at a university like NUS, but my family situation isn’t the best. It’s emotionally draining, and it’s made me lose a lot of motivation and confidence.

I’ve narrowed things down to three options, but I’d really appreciate advice on which makes the most sense:
A) Go to boarding school though it’s expensive, and I’d lose the comfort of my own space.
B) Take this year to slowly do A-Level work and officially start Year 12 next September (I’d be a year late, but I don’t mind that). But I’d be stuck in my family situation for longer than I want to
C) Try to cram everything in and start now, risking burnout or poor grades just so I can get out of home earlier.

I know I can’t fix everything at once, but I just want to make the right choice for my future. Any advice from people who’ve taken gap years, caught up on A-Levels, or studied abroad would mean a lot.

Thank you for your time
