Should I pick A-level Computer Science if I’m not enjoying coding yet?

I’m picking my A-levels and I’m mostly set on Economics and Maths, but I’m stuck on whether to take Computer Science. I like the idea of it as I am doing it in GCSEs and obviously for future its a good option, but I don’t really enjoy coding right now and I’m not great at the problem-solving side. Maybe I’d like it with a better teacher, but I’m not sure if that’s a risky choice.
Anyone been in the same situation or has some advice?

What do you want to do after your a-levels?
If you arent 100% taken with it, then i wouldnt take it. Id pick something else.
Yes it may be better with a different teacher, but you do not know which teacher you will get.

Hi,

It really depends on what you’re thinking of studying at university, including entry requirements, and whether you enjoy the subject enough to commit to another two years at a higher level. If coding and problem-solving aren’t something you enjoy right now, consider whether your interest is likely to grow. Choosing subjects you enjoy and feel stronger in can help you achieve higher grades, keeping more options open for the future.

Hope this helps, and good luck with your decision!

Thanks for your reply. Not sure about what to pick in uni, I want to be entrepreneur/ businessman, and something in tech so as a whole not sure, but at the time I was picking my GCSEs I was really sure I would do CS in higher studies because I always liked tech and doing random things in my laptop when I was young so i thought CS would be good for me but in the GCSE I was not bad at coding but I just didn't enjoy it too much, maybe cuz of my teacher or environment. Anyways i really like business and love analysing them too so maybe business mangement in uni. But if i don't take CS, there is nothing else to pick which can help me in future, so maybe I might pick 4 a levels then drop the one I don't like.

Thanks for replying, i feel i have not coded enough to know that i am good at it or not, but i have just not enjoyed it lot mostly because of my test experiences as for some hard questions involviing problem solving would just make me blank and I couldn't think about anything. I thought about business a level as I like business GCSE but it doesn't suit with my subjects.
