Y12 Work Experience

Hey guys, I was hoping to find more luck here than on Google or ChatGPT for finding Work Experience. Basically, I'm currently in Y12 hoping to find in person work experience in banking or the technology sector for a week towards the end of June which is compulsory set by my school in which we have to find out own placements. I was wondering if anyone knows any legitimate companies that have previously taken on students (I will be 17 then btw) or knows any companies that would be willing to take sixth formers on in London. I'll email them my dates and CV and everything but I was just wondering what companies I actually could email since some only take on uni students or post grads. Thxx

From personal experience, no prominent company in banking, finance or high tech will give any high schooler any attention. The odd person that does manage to land "work experience" at PwC or Spotify get those through connections, probably from their parents. Otherwise, it's not worth reaching out.

I would look for smaller or more local firms that would be more willing to set something up with you.
