How are the placements structured in the first year? Are they full days or just a few hours a week?
2.
How manageable is the course workload alongside placements?
3.
Any tips for someone starting through clearing, especially since the course is still quite new?
4.
How supportive are lecturers and clinical staff for students coming through clearing?

I can tell you more in a few days my first placement is Monday but there are like 4 different hospitals we can be sent to. they decide based on our preferences but due to limited spaces how far you live and if you can drive come into play for some people. they will be full days most of my days are weekdays 9-5 with Wednesdays off and were on placement for just under a month.

again, I can inform you more in a week but workload so far has been manageable and older students have said it isn't bad. I will use Wednesdays as my main study day but doing the placement is a huge form of studying in itself and then we get a big xmas break where ill revise for exams after.

for clearing they will ask you what you know about a job I got what's the definition of radiography and what will you be expected do in this job. also they asked about teamwork and have a few examples of situations in where you used teamwork, stepped up as a leader, and faced conflict. these came up in a lot of my interviews.

clearing was honestly so easy, everyone in my accommodation got in through clearing, no one asks about it it doesn't really matter cos we all go to the same place and do the same course. when I had to call up the uni regarding clearing the people are so nice and supportive they put the most friendly helpful people on the lines during those days. clearing doesn't mean we have less knowledge either a lot of people I know got really good grades e.g. my flatmate got AAA and is doing another course through clearing in order to do medicine after.
