A level maths during gap year.

Hello all,
Currently i'm in year 13, studying Law, Economics and PE at A level. I want to study A level maths during my gap year since I want to study Accounting and Finance at university. Some of my friends have told me to study with just youtube (there is this guy called Mr Bicen who is apparently is very good) but the careers office in my sixth form have told me to do this course (https://www.nec.ac.uk/course/a-level-maths/) which obviously costs money.
Additionally, should I even study it at all - I've applied to some unis that don't require maths, whilst some require maths.
Please tell me what you recommend if you study or have studied A level maths or Accounting and Finance!

Should I be put off by my grade 6 in maths GCSE? I didn't even revise for it so I only ended up with a 6, meaning I couldn't study A level maths as I didnt meet the requirements for my sixth form.

Also how would I actually book sitting the papers?

Thanks! (sorry for all that text lol)
