A level options

I am in Year 11 deciding what A-Levels I want to do. Is a physics A-Level required for chemical engineering? I am thinking of doing maths, further maths, chemistry and economics.

Double check the courses on unis websites to see what they say.
They will specify what (if any) subjects they require for each course.

Hi,

For chemical engineering, A-Level Chemistry and Maths are usually required, with Further Maths sometimes recommended. I’d recommend to check entry requirements for the universities you’re interested in to see what subjects are mentioned.

Hope this helps,

Physics is not usually required. Most universities require Chemistry and certainly maths, with some universities like the University of Manchester requiring Maths and chemistry OR physics. Do make sure to check the individual universities you are thinking of applying to.
