A-level/BTEC choices for physio

I'm studying the Level 3 Extended Diploma BTEC in sport and health and social care, as well as an IB Psychology course.
My BTEC Sport covers all of anatomy and physiology, and then Unit 7 is practical sports performance. I also got a 4-4 in combined science.

I want to know if these are okay to study Physiotherapy in university, or if I need to take a foundation year for biology or something like that?

Hi @ff_asx09

I am not familiar with the BTEC L3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Health and Social Care qualification. For our BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy course we do accept BTEC L3 Extended Diploma qualification in some sport subjects but it will be down to the specific biological science content and whether that is enough.

I would advise contacting the Admissions team at the unis you are interested in and they should be able to clarify. I'd also check the relevant course webpages as they will list some accepted qualifications and you'll also be able to confirm what GCSEs they also need.

Hope this helps.
Mel 😊
