Bath Spa University 2013

When I was 18 I chose Bath Spa Uni was my first choice - I think it may have even been an unconditional offer. They wanted 320 UCAS points.

I ended up getting ABB at A level and therefore well exceeded my requirements. I could have gone to a higher rated uni or put one with like Sussex that required high grades in the hopes of them needing to fill spaces.

Did anyone else go to a uni where their grades were a lot higher than what they needed or was I acting very strangely back then? I am disappointed I didn't push myself or make the correct choice with my grades.

And what are you doing now - has 'which Uni' had any real impact on this?

No - I am happy and have a great life, guess I am lamenting an extra 3 years of a great life or the classic uni experience life anyway.
Hi Froggy,

Reputation is not everything. Whilst rankings and required grades and such can be a good initial guide or source of inspo for unis to look at, what REALLY matters is that you enjoyed it, had a fun, fulfilling uni life and did well on your course. If it helped get you to where you are now and you are happy with those circumstances then that is even better.

Most employers care far more about your skills and attitudes as a person rather than which uni you went to and many will not even be too concerned about what course you did depending on the field.

Its easy to think about What If and hindsight is a great thing, but IMO you have clearly made a success of your chosen path and have nothing to feel regretful about! Every experience shapes us as a person.

Hope this reassures - all the best!
