DSA - Education Assessment

Hi, I'm confused so thought I would ask on here. I just had a dyslexia assessment done and sent it to student finance when I applied for my DSA.
They have just sent me a letter saying that I need to book an assessment with Study Tech. Do I really need to have another one even though I've just had one with a Specialist Dyslexic Assessor?

In short, yes
The dyslexia assessment is to prove you have dyslexia,
the assessment with study tech is to decide what support you need to help with that

So I have autism. I had an autism diagnosis that I sent to DSA, but I then had an assessment which suggested things like certain software and hardware and stuff.

The study tech assessment isn't anything to worry about, in my experience they're super eager to help and get you what you need but I understand it may seem annoying.

thanks. My assessment also includeded things that I would need to help me with my studies, for example, talk-to-text and read aloud software. Also the need for a laptop with as big a screen as possible due to the fact I need larger font size without the page moving from left to right as that soon makes my dyslexia worse and the words start moving all over the place.

Doesn't matter, DSA need to approve any recommendation before they pay for it and they do that through getting recommendations from their set providers who have a good idea of what they tend to provide.

ah ok, was just wondering why I was seemingly having to do it twice. Am just waiting for Study Tech to let me book a assessment.
