School Wellbeing Teacher

I was jaut wandering if anyone knew what it was like talking to someone like a wellbeing counsellor? I have issues with my parents and I'm really struggling and I feel like im putting a lot of pressure on my boyfriend by telling him and I'd like to speak to someone who could actually help but I know that at secondary school, they have a duty to tell your carers what's being discussed but I wasn't sure how different it was at sixth form. I know it might differ between schools but I was hoping for a general idea. Thank you 🫶

Hello! I’m really sorry to hear that you’re going through this and how hard it can be on you. In my experience when I reached out for support, it was completely confidential and this was reiterated a few times.

If you’re unsure, you could ask your schools wellbeing team if their meetings are confidential or if they need to discuss this with your parents.

You could also look into other ways to talk to somebody. I’m not sure where you’re from, but you could reach out to local services in your area or even your GP if you need further support.

I’m not sure what you have going on, but have a look on this link for some advice! https://www.youngminds.org.uk/young-person/

I hope things start to look up for you! You’ve got this 🫶🏼
