Maths or cs or engineering

Hi everyone, I’m trying to figure out what to study at uni and could use some advice. I’m taking Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Chemistry at A-level and I’m deciding between Maths, Computer Science, and Engineering. I really enjoy deep problem-solving, fully mastering topics, and building or creating things I’ve even done small coding projects before. I’m also keen to stay in halal career paths.
I’m not sure how much people actually use their degree in real life versus it being more of a stepping stone, and I want a course that’s both challenging and practically useful. Does anyone have experience with these degrees or advice on which might be the most enjoyable day-to-day?
My current shortlist is this:
Cambridge maths with physics
Imperial maths with mathematical computation
Warwick Morse
Lse maths with data science
Bristol mechanical engineering

I feel like these courses are good but they won’t give me as much transferable skills as say a cs student who wants to go into tech, should I just pick engineering or cs and move into those sectors or try to keep my options broad by picking maths based ones and then doing a masters afterwords?

One more question, if you do get accepted into a top uni like Cambridge for something like maths and get little to no practical experience for actual jobs, does it really matter or does the Cambridge name and prestige the only thing that matters, is a degree just a stepping stone for someone and as long as it’s in STEM all the doors are open for you?

Try your hardest to get some work experience/internships etc before you graduate. This will make you stand out to potential employers. Internships are also a good way of employers finding potential graduate hires in certain sectors.

The grad job market is very challenging and likely to to remain so for quite a while. CS is an oversaturated field and whilst a degree from any of those universities should at least open some doors for you career wise, it's not guaranteed just because you went to Cambridge, Warwick etc.

Also search on the Discover Uni site where you can get a bit more detailed info on student employment/salary outcomes for individual courses at a specific uni.

have you checked out maths for engineering at Bristol. Looked great to me and you're pretty much guaranteed a place if you have the grades. Unique option,
