How do I volunteer for dentistry

Hiya,
I am currently in year 12 at the moment and I'm considering to do dentistry and people have constantly been telling me to do volunteering or work experience to do with dentistry. However I am unable to find any voluntary or work experience work online
Please can someone tell me how I can get work experience
Should I ring dentists in my town for work experience or will majority say no (cause I've heard people get rejected loads of times cause the. clinics don't really want observers as they think of them as hassle)
Please 🥺🥺 can you help me
Thank you

Many Dental School don't require or value work-experience - UK Dental School Work Experience Requirements: A Complete Guide for Applicants Blue Peanut Medical

They will require you to have a sensible understanding of what the work involves - and any sort of caring experience, or 'dealing with people' can be useful for interview questions. Phone up local dentists and ask, but they may say no. Go and visit local care homes and special schools, foodbanks, homeless shelters etc and ask about volunteer work - this just gives you experience of working with people outside your comfort zone and honing those all important 'communication skills'.

you can get work experience, it just isnt easy and you need to start early on it. prepare a CV and personalised covering letter and go round your nearest 10 or so practices. Its harder to reject you in person.
also consider NHS community dental and hospital dental departments

for volunteering - do the same, knock on doors, but perhaps see if you can get help at school to give you some support/referrences

school itself also usually want volunteers for open days and things like that
