Hi I didn't have any dental nursing experience, I managed to get some work experience shadowing at two dentists which helped my application about showed my dedication and commitment. It is competitive I had three interviews and got two offers and one waitlist so u can deffo do it without dental nursing experience. I wouldn't stress about the competition just focus on being the best u can be for ur interviews/ get your grades and and be confident research the course dental issues gdc principals and make sure u know how to answer hypothetical scenario questions.

As a mature student I spoke about my life experiences and about transferable skills I'd obtained from my career

I'm a mature student I was a teacher and decided on a career change so yes deffo had a long gap. I did an access to health studies and I achieved distinctions in all modules but my offers didn't require distinctions in all elements
