1) 13-15
2) Male
3) Yes, self-diagnosed
4) Family influences, friends, mental health struggles, low self-esteem
5)Slightly
6)Television/Movies
7) It made me more self aware of my own body; I wanted to be more like the people who were doing all the cool stuff, pulling the stunts, etc etc, and I felt like I was klunky in my own body compared to them, so food lost its pleasure for me, and I eat about 1 meal a day now, and it doesn't help when people cal me fat, even as a joke or otherwise, it affects how I se myself in that way.
8) Often
9) Not sure
10) Yes, absolutely
11) they should remove posts that fat shame people, even as a joke, because it can really affect people, and if people post things like that more than once then they should be banned from it, because its not ok at all.
13) Don't listen to what people say about your body. Once you start believing them, you cant stop. You know you better than anyone else does, and you should ground yourself in that, and not let others tell you that you're fat or overweight, and if they do, tell them that thats not okay, and they need to stop it.
Personal Statement for extra info:
I am a 15 year old boy who suffers from anorexia, an eating disorder where I don't eat enough and am underweight. this started when my twin and younger brother and sister started calling me fat as a joke, and I couldn't shake it off after a while. At first I was fine, just tried to ignore them, but they kept at it. In fact, they still do it to this day. I also went through some hard times at school, got made fun of because of my height, and then I started comparing myself to other boys in the year, thinking that because they were skinnier than I was, then I must be overweight. This has continued for nearly 6 months now and I am 5-10kg overweight (not 100% havent weighed myself in ages), and have an underweight BMI. It also doesn't help that I also get bullied for other things, and they affect my anorexia as well. I would say that a multitude of things can cause EDs like this and other, and people should be very careful what they say to others, becasue for all they know that could really hurt them.

Any more questions feel free to ask. 😎

I don't recall uploading my references or research to project q at all, just some evidence of what my note-taking looked like and then the production log (though it was four years ago now lol). The research is probably marked within your essay itself, and mostly in terms of making sure you use a range of primary and reliable sources, aka research papers and not just Wikipedia or YouTube. I'm not sure how much your writing style would change pre and post-research completion, but you can probably show like early draft planning or something like that.

For the survey (assuming you're looking for responses - if not then you can just ignore this heh):

1.

22-25

2.

Male / non-binary

3.

Yes, self-identified

4.

Traditional media, family influences, mental health struggles, low self-esteem

5.

Moderately

6.

Other - Tumblr, random 'inspiration' websites, books

7.

Reinforced my own negative mindset from self-esteem/family influences, and also gave me ideas on behaviours and thought patterns around food that I could then implement.

8.

Sometimes

9.

Neutral

10.

Yes

11.

Content filtering, e.g. blocking hashtags and giving helplines for people who attempt to search those hashtags, and also particularly staying on top of alternative hashtags like where people substitute certain letters for numbers which can then sometimes get around the filters. Also need to make sure that people can easily block certain hashtags or key words they don't want to see and that it stays blocked (for instance, instagram tends to sometimes show more content from a tag I've supposedly blocked)

12.

Not applicable

13.

Avoid the rabbit hole of obsession, learn about what behaviours and suchlike are actually healthy and remind yourself of those while engaging with media, detach from anything that is triggering

I will fill in this form in a sec, just wanted to give a little advice. I found it super helpful to make an anonymous Google/microsoft form as I found people were more inclined to answer and it is easier to track and compare results which could be something you could look into?
