Students now at Durham - there seems so much misinformation about various colleges. If you were ranking them now you are actually there- what would you rank- and would this be different to your original list ( and why)

Colleges at Durham are far more similar than they are different. All colleges offer welfare support, sports, societies and more! This means that most students tend to love their college no matter where they are placed. However, the main differences are found in more practical things like location, size, catering options and bathroom facilities (i.e. en suite or shared). I would recommend checking out The Durham Student website, which has a specific section for colleges and information on particular students' experiences of each college. I will link below
I am at Josephine Butler College and it was my first choice. I liked (and still like) the fact that it is quite modern, self-catered and en suite bathrooms. It is one of the furthest colleges from my department but Durham is so walkable that I really enjoyed walking in first year. It was still only about 20 minutes. While I love Butler, I have friends from lots of other colleges who would all say the same about theirs!!
