Hello!
My main point for this question would be that the best university will vary so much from person to person! Everyone has different ideas and preferences for their study methods and interests, so the 'best' university for you will be the one which fits the most of your preferences!
What I would recommend is to research the course, modules and assessment methods on universities you are interested in - each university will have differences, and you might easily be able to discard or find your preferred options this way.
After narrowing it down, visiting open days can also help you get a good feel for the course and university setting. Talking to current staff and students can be really helpful! If the university doesn't have an on-campus open day soon, they may have online alternatives.
At Sunderland, our next on-campus open day is in February, however we have virtual events/online sessions which provide an overview of the university/specific courses - including some tailored to primary education!
If you have any questions about primary education, teaching or teacher training, please let me know and I will do my best to help!
