Poor LNAT score - what now?

Hi, is there any chance for Durham with a 20? For context, A*A*A*, a strong personal statement (I have an offer from Warwick) alongside what I think was a good LNAT essay. Wasnt feeling too well on the day of the LNAT and messed up my MCQ. Help please

You don't know that you have a score of 20, and you don't know how Unis will view your essay.

Where else have you applied apart from Durham?

I know my score is 20, cause an Indian university released the scores early for their admissions. I have applied to Warwick, QMUL, Durham, Kings and Cambridge. For my essay, luckily I had come across the prompt in my practice sessions so I had an entire essay planned for it, which is why I think it would be viewed favorably.

its unlikely you will get durham unfortunately. They are quite LNAT heavy and have hundreds of applicants each year for law specifically (most with an average score of 24-26), whilst its unlikely never say never. Anyway Warwick is a very good uni, and if im not correct please say but im fairly sure they dint require LNAT

Hey! A 20 is on the low side for Durham, but it’s not an automatic rejection they do look at the whole application. Strong grades, a good PS, and a solid essay can definitely help, and people with similar scores have still received offers in past cycles. It’s not guaranteed, but you’re still in with a chance, so try not to write yourself off yet.

hey i received an offer from durham yesterday with a 21 LNAT (i used the jindal method), im a home contextual student predicted A*AA
i’ve heard that durham put more weight on the essay section than the multiple choice question score so if your essay is strong you should be fine (like in my case) they also will look at applications holistically and take multiple things into consideration:smile:

the 20 you recieve from jingal isnt your score, it means that 20 is the cutoff point for their admissions, meaning you likely got more than 20, wait until you have your actual score from pearson before you stress!

I have been told by LNAT Pearson that :
We had a meeting with OP Jindal approximately 3 weeks ago, on 27 November, during which we explained the usual LNAT setup and expectations, and the usual timelines for UCAS university applications, and our score mail outs from Pearson. They agreed they would no longer share score information with candidates.

Has anyone received scores from Jindal since 27 November?
