Clinical electives in Gloucestershire
Hi guys!
I'm a 4th year med student from Ireland and want to do electives in the UK over the summer. Since I have family in Gloucester, I wanted to do some near there. I tried the bristol university hospitals but Southmead hospital isn't taking any students next year, and the rest haven't replied. I also tried emailing Queen elizabeth hospital's undergrad department but didnt hear back from them. Anyone know a way to contact gloucester royal hospital or cheltenham hospital by email? Their phone lines were quite unhelpful.

Your best bet is to find individual clinicians working in the field you are interested in and email them (or their secretary) politely.
Bear in mind that Gloucester and both North/South hospital trusts will be swarming with Bristol medics (and there are a LOT of them) so opportunities for an elective may be hard to come by.
