Cambridge ELAT

Hi all, I've just received an invitation to take the Cambridge English admissions test. Does anyone have any information about how our scores could affect the decision on our applications? Is there a minimum score that we must meet?

Any other advice regarding the test would also be much appreciated!

Congratulations on your invitation! I got one this morning. I saw somewhere that (out of 60) most successful applicants get around 45-50, but it also depends on how strong the rest of your application is and how you compare to the other applicants. I'm kind of worried because I haven't done much unseen work or language analysis at A-level yet (I do OCR which is all context), but have done a lot of comparison which will hopefully help. There are past papers and exemplars on PMT and I was planning to make a list of techniques to look for (to read over before the exam) and do some practice essays. Good luck on your test!
