Inquiry Regarding Funding Eligibility for a New Course

Good afternoon. I have a question regarding my current funding situation. I am a third-year Adult Nursing student; however, due to unforeseen health circumstances, I have been advised by my course leader to transfer to another course.

The issue is that I am unsure whether I would still be eligible for funding for this academic year. I have already completed a previous degree in Business and Management (for which I graduated), so I understand this might affect my eligibility.

Since I am unable to continue with Nursing because of my health, could you please advise me which courses I might still qualify for funding—preferably a course without a placement component?

Hi there. There is a list of courses here which would be considered ELQ exception courses: https://www.heinfo.slc.co.uk/resources/guidance/courses-management-service-user-guide/eligibility/equivalent-or-lower-qualification-elq-exceptions/?alttemplate=printchapter&id=1454

There are different ones whether you want to study part time or full time. Some of the course only attract Maintenance Loan and grants if you are studying it as a second degree, some attract both Tuition Fee and Maintenance Loan.

If you have a look at the document and have any ideas of which you would be interested in, we can tell you what kind of funding it will attract. Thanks, Leah.
