UCAS Application (pharmacy)

Hey everyone, I am a year 13 student and just submitted my UCAS application yesterday. I applied for pharmacy in University of Bath, University of Nottingham, Keele University, Aston University and Newcastle University.

My question is how long does it usually take to get an interview or an offer from these universities? Also are the interviews for Pharmacy difficult?

It varies by uni. Some start interviewing as they process applications others might not start until after the January equal consideration deadline.

I recommend you join this year's pharmacy applicants thread:

The following thread will help you prepare for interviews:

You may not get any notification of interviews for weeks/months - don't panic, this is normal.

As above, see the thread about resources for Pharmacy interviews etc.
Hi!

As you may know, our pharmacy degree is very popular, and to make sure every student who joins us has the experience they deserve, the number of places available is unfortunately limited.
We want to recognise the time you have spent on your application and our first priority is that all applicants are treated fairly. This may mean we cannot make decisions for applicants until we have considered everyone who applies by the UCAS equal consideration deadline (14 January 2026).
We know waiting can be stressful - we intend for all applicants to have a decision by the end of March, and in most cases sooner than this.

I am currently MPharm student so if you have any questions then feel free to ask.

Thanks

Hey, thanks for replying. Did keele ask you to upload any certificates? I got an interview from Aston today and they didn't request any certificates.

The deadline for applying is in January so you won't be too late. Unis have to consider and look at your application if it was submitted before the deadline. For the interviews, check UCAS and the specific uni page. It should tell you if it's online or in person.

Hi there!

It's great to see you considering Bath. Below is the link for our grade requirements for 2026.
https://www.bath.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate-2026/pharmacy/mpharm-pharmacy/#entry-requirements

We do offer ABB as an alternative offer if you meet the requirements so check that out to see if its applies to yourself. When you're considering all your options, definitely have a good mix of meeting the entry requirements and aspirational options as well! It's not possible for me to tell as I don't work on the admissions team but feel free to email them if you have a specific question "[email protected]"

I hope that helps and feel free to ask any further questions! 😊
