Finance sent to closed account

So I’ve forgot to update my details and my student finance has been sent to a closed Monzo account, I have spoke to finance and they said when the money is returned it will come up as failed but I’ve spoke to Monzo and they said it should bounce back straight away but it’s been a few days now and it’s still not saying failed on my payment status, can anyone help or give me advice please

Hi there. It can take a while before the payment shows as failed on our payment system, there isn't a specific timescale for this, but as soon as it shows as failed on our system we can resubmit the payment to your new account details. Have you contacted us directly to update your bank details. Thanks, Leah.
