Applying to uni with AAA

My predicted grades are AAA so is it silly to apply to an A*AA uni for Law ? Is it a waste of a choice or worth trying (Uni of Manchester)
My other options are Uni of Leeds and Uni of Nottingham all applying for Law

Hiya,

It's usual to have at least one aspirational choice one or two grades above your predicted, so not silly at all, no. Just make sure you have options down on and or below your predicted grades to give yourself the best chance to get a place somewhere you'll enjoy.

Hope this helps!

Thank you ! I’m wanting to go to a Russell group but considering they all require AAA for law I guess it is sensible to apply to a non Russell group

There is nothing 'magic' about RG Unis, and the majority of big Law firms recruit Uni-blind so don't get over focussed on RG.

As above, one choice just above your predicted grades is a good idea, you might get an offer and this can be really motivating to work harder for those higher grades. Just be prepared for No. Applying to all AAA Unis for your remaining choices is not sensible - you need at least one less competitive course with lower grade requirements for your Insurance choice. These three all have the added bonus of a placement year - this would add heaps to your graduate CV :
Undergraduate Law - Lancaster University (AAB)
Law LLB | Undergraduate study | Loughborough University (AAB)
Law LLB | Royal Holloway, University of London (AAB)
