About UCL entry requirements 2026

I want to study Psychology with Education in UCL, it requires a 6 for gcse English literature but I only have a 5. My ucas predicted grade for A levels are A*AA and I have 9s in both Maths and Science GCSE. Do I have any chances to receive an offer?

I’m in year 13 right now, but from what I’ve heard from others it all depends on whose applying and their stats compared to yours if you demonstrate your a strong applicant by your personal statement you may get an offer. If your eligibile for contextual admissions it may help you too or if you have extenuating circumstances it should be fine. So I think you may still be able to get an offer

UCL doesn't require English lit at grade 6, it requires English language at grade 6. If you have a 6 in GCSE English language you are fine.

Specified GCSE subject requirements are normally "hard" requirements for unis and if you don't meet them and aren't pending a retake as indicated on your UCAS application you will normally be automatically rejected.
