Hey, Good Luck for Year 11 I hope it goes wonderfully for you!!
I did some of the same exam boards as you and I got 9999999988 in my GCSEs so I might be able to help!

Is there a reason you need to take maths for a level, or is it just a subject you really enjoy? I take maths and it's honestly not too dissimilar from GCSE so far but the workload is huge!!

English Lit - watch Mr Salles English videos, don't waste time writing loads and loads of essays, write essay plans for every possible topic no matter how niche, practice writing really high level thesis statements for your essays, don't use PEA or PEAL or PETAL paragraphs they cap how high the examiner can mark you

English Language - I got an 8 too so I don't think I have any tips that you aren't already aware of! Except maybe adding semantic fields into your creative writing, but that may be something you already do!

Maths - Do every single past paper you can find, practice the topics that you find the most difficult, learn calculator shortcuts for graphs and tables, look over your past papers and work particularly on questions and topics you got wrong

All sciences - Similarly to maths, do as many last papers as possible, revise each topic and then immediately go onto PMT and do all the past paper questions on that particular topic, memorise the mark schemes - they ask the same questions every year, memorise the practical methods they come up frequently

Chemistry - If maths is something you struggle with definitely look over quantitative chem, it usually has a lot of the marks, there's lots of helpful mnemonics to remember things like OIL RIG, and PANIC

Biology - Ecology has come up hugely in the past couple years so I would put a lot of focus on that as people say it's "common sense" but the mark schemes for it are so specific, also for homeostasis try to memorise hormones and how they interact with eachother as a lot of the questions are 6 markers

History - I don't know if you have a book/folder system but I wrote up every single fact and date and statistic for all four sections into giant google documents at the beginning of year 11, which I found to be incredibly helpful because I could just make essay plans for every possible question with all my resources in one place when it came to exam time. I have no idea if this will work for you, but it might help?

Let me know if you have any questions!
And good luck again!!

Honestly I’m taking maths a level because it’s been a recommended a level for me to go on to become a veterinary surgeon or nurse thats all! Thank you so much for all the tips and do you have any suggestions for which structure for paragraphs instead of the PEAL and others I could use in english literature?

First set of mock results:
English literature, 6
English language, 9
Enterprise, L2D* (based on coursework still)
Computer science, 6 (paper one, 5 and paper 2, 8)
Higher maths, 5
Physics, 7
Chemistry, 7
Biology, 7
History, 7
Religious studies, 9

Overall, I’m pretty happy with most of these grades considering I didn’t really revise for these mocks and still managed to pass everything. I’m planning on making revision materials this month and revising from now because there are mocks in March then obviously the actual GCSEs not long after so once again, any tips or websites for any of these subjects would be amazing!!!
