If it forms part of their entry requirements, they can ask for proof. Did you lose your GCSE certificates or did you never get them in the first place?

i never collected them in the first place but i do have a sheet that has my results on it. my offer has also been confirmed already but on ucas the conditions of the offer is that i need to upload my english gcse? do i need to since ive already included them into my application and also i dont think my school has them anymore.

If you did not collect it from school, they will probably still have it - phone your school.

Yes, listing them on your application doesn't verify the results which is what the uni wants to do.

As above, your school more than likely held onto the certs. Collect them now rather than having to pay for replacements years down the line.

As above, collect them if you can. You need them, and those replacements cost a pretty penny so better to not need them in the first place.
