Northumbria childrens nursing exam 2026 year 1

I’m currently a year 1 student studying childrens nursing. I was wondering if any previous students or students in the years above had any advice for the exam and if there are any flashcards or practice papers available for me to practice with?

Hello,

I am studying adult nursing but on my first year we had the same exam as child's nursing. When I was studying for a challenging exam like anatomy, what really made a difference for me was making sure I fully understood around 90% of the lecture content each week. I made sure everything made sense during the lecture, and if there were any difficult parts, I revised them over the weekend to reinforce my understanding. I also created flashcards for anatomy terms that needed memorising and printed pictures of the different body systems, labelling each part and hanging them in my room to review every couple of days. This approach made my reading week much easier, as the information was already consolidated instead of feeling like I was learning it for the first time. As for practice papers, I just practised with the quizzes my university posted, you can do the same or make your own quiz questions.

All the best
