Hello,

This is my must take list for clinical placements:
-A pocket notebook for writing down new information, terminology, and to document obs. This is a must for me and I take a brand new one for each placement block (it will fill up quickly).
-2 or 3 black pens for documentation
-A pocket watch, the small ones with a hanging clip and hang it on your uniform. This is a must for timing references when counting a minute during respiration counts and/or pulse, etc.
-Good black and wipeable shoes. Practice walking in your shoes for long periods before you wear them to placement.
-Reusable water bottles to stay hydrated
-A lip balm and hand cream. Your hands and lips will get dry when you're on a long shift so it'll be useful to have a lip balm and a small hand cream.

All the best
