what career/degree can i do??

Hi, im in year 12 and I do chem, psychology and business. i have recently wanted to become a dentist but realised i can only do the course at kcl with chem and psych, nowhere else. the only other fields i’d kinda be interested in is management but i’ve heard you cant apply for more than one course at different unis. i really dont know what kinda career to do with my choices, someone help me out

You can apply to more than one subject on an application but unless you request to submit a separate ps then youll have the same one for all the courses which weakens your application. Dentistry is really competitive too so you’d need to dedicate a lot of time to stuff to go on your ps and admissions tests just for one choice. My advice would be to spend some time on sites like Springpod and browsing degree guides on unifrog, uniguide and whatuni so you can get an idea of what subjects are on offer.

Why didnt you do Biology at A level - because you didnt enjoy it or you struggled with it?
Think about doing a 5 year degree where this is a fundamental subject - are you actually going to enjoy this?
If you are really determined to do Dentistry then think about taking A level Biology in a gap-year - its worth it if you want do Dentistry badly enough.

Alternative career/degree to look at is Dental Therapy - increasingly important in dental practice, and not just 'cleaning teeth' : Dental Therapy, BSc (Hons) Degree Course
