Could I get into English Lit without taking it at A level?

I take Classical Civilisations, Criminology, Psychology and an EPQ. I'm predicted AABB and I've had my eyes set on King's since around this time last year. Unfortunately I did not take English Lit at A level because I thought I'd want to go into Psychology. Classical Civilisations however is very heavy on literature analysis - just with a focus on ancient literature in translation (Of course).

I called King's and they told me to just apply and then they could advise me on my application, but that does not make me feel very good.

I have okayish extracurriculars for section 3 (I went to the Kafka museum in Prague, did a radio show and I'm co authoring a book) I was 1 mark away from an 8 in both Lit and Land at GCSE and I'm predicted a B in Classics. I meet the contextual admission offer for a multitude of reasons but I'm really worried my Literature lack and B in Classics is going to stop them from accepting me. This may be a futile post but I really fell in love with King's and wanted to see if anyone in a similar situation to me has been accepted. Thanks for reading ! 😁

Have you checked the entry requirements on the KCL website? On the English lit page it says the following "A-Levels
Required grades: AAA
Must include grade A in English Literature or English Language and Literature."
Good luck

Yeah! I was wondering if they accepted classics instead as it's very similar to literature. Some unis with the same English lit requirement have told me that they'd likely give me an offer because classics is similar enough. But as King's is quite prestigious I was unsure they'd have the same leniency! Thank you though for replying:smile:)
