What’s the best way to get from Luton Airport to Central London?

What’s the best way to get from Luton Airport to Central London, especially if I’m flying back on December 15? Will I get stuck in delays or heavy traffic?
Train and car seem to take roughly about the same time, but you will experience traffic by car, yes. Travelling to/from airports is more convenient by car anyway, because you get to be dropped off exactly where you need to without having to lug around your suitcases on trains and then walk to your place with them.

If you’re unwilling to travel by car or are that scared of traffic.

Get the A/H/X2/Z/100 (there’s plenty of buses to the point where I can’t remember/list all of them) bus to either Luton Airport Parkway Station or Luton Station.

Then get the EMR train and hop off at St Pancras (quickest but not necessarily cheapest journey). From there idk, Scotland’s Yard knows more about London than I do. Edit: and it depends where exactly in Central London you want to travel to. “Central London” on its own is too vague especially given how expensive public transport is in the the UK.

Do not get the Dart unless you pay far in advance and integrate it into your overall journey, it’s a rip off, get a bus. It’s cheaper, and only like 15 mins journey max. There’s the fare cap in Luton and the bus services are excellent in that there’s frequent buses and lots of overlap in journeys.

You can (if you get a hip-hop ticket (but not relevant in your case) you can use that on any bus between Luton and Dunstable and I think it includes Houghton too).

But I’d agree with getting a taxi or seeing if anyone you know is willing to transport your for part of all journey (depending on how large your suitcase(s) are), better than lugging luggage around by hand especially if you need to go via inaccessible stations.

In my opinion.
