Depends entirely on your school.

Hey @VICTORIAL1975,

As stated above, it depends entirely on how your school constructs their yearly timetable. If your school can't accommodate a certain combination, they should let you know as soon as it becomes apparent to them and will likely offer you a few alternatives.

There shouldn't be any timetabling issues with the sciences/maths as they're a common A-Level combination for most STEM students. A-Level Drama may be a little bit harder to timetable with the others, but once again, it depends on the popularity of certain subjects, the frequency of certain combinations and how the timetable is organised by the school.

Best of luck with your choices,
Eve (Kingston Rep).

This will depend on your school and how they create their timetables. Generally speaking, maths will not clash with sciences because so many people take some combination of maths and sciences. Drama may clash, but you wont know until timetables are finalised when the autumn term starts.

Hi,

I haven’t done that exact combination myself, but usually doing Science and Maths together doesn’t cause any issues since it’s a popular combination for STEM students. Drama could be a bit trickier because practicals, labs, and performances can sometimes clash. It really depends on your sixth form or college and how flexible their timetable is. They should be able to let you know if it’s possible and accommodate you, or offer alternative options if needed.

For end-of-year A-level exams, clashes are usually manageable too. For example, I often had sociology exam clashes with chemistry and I was just in a holding room until it was time to take the next one.

Hope this helps,
