Cambridge rejection

Hi

When do Cambridge rejection emails come out as I just received my tmua score which was an 3 which is well below the average for Cambridge and I was wondering when the rejection emails comes out so I can prepare. I think I am eligible for contextual due to being on free school meal

Any answer greatly appreciated

I would not doubt the process yet as they will look at your whole application, not just TMUA score. Which college did you apply to?

Gonville and Caius at this stage I’m pretty sure that I will be as I’ve heard that the average tmua grade has gone up so I assume the average for Cambridge will also go up

A lot of students got that score though. They may see the average and knock it down a little. There has been issues with the scores. Best of luck to you anyway.

Is this economics or computer science? Obviously 3.0 does not work in your favour for either case but it's probably more of an issue for comp sci than econ. It is a fair bit below the average score of test takers.

If you get an interview, I wouldn't worry too much because Cambridge looks at everything together but unfortunately admissions tests are used for deselection (I believe this info is actually on the Caius Instagram itself). Best of luck though and remember it's not the end of the world either way!! Plenty of very competent people mess up their admissions tests, losing places at unis such as Cambridge but go on to do just fine

Yes it is for comp sci and I have accepted that lol, it was shock but it was a hard test so there nothing more I can do. I was just wondering when the rejection comes out so I can prepare for that at least lol.

Oh okay, I'm sorry, its bad luck because I have no doubt your an intelligent individual. I believe gonville and Caius has specified interviews should come out next week for subjects which had pre registered admissions tests. I do have my fingers crossed for you anyway, at least that you end up somewhere you love!
