Stressed out over A levels

Anyone doing a levels/have done a levels. How did you manage stress/anxiety? I've always dealt with this but it's mainly worse during exam season. I have mocks coming up in Jan and I feel anxious. I just started Sixth Form and haven't had the best start 😭.
I feel like every minute I'm freaking out and I don't know what to do.
Any advice would be appreciated 🫶

hi, I'm in year 13 now, and what i can recommend is to do your homework on frees, and whenether you feel as though your losing concentration or cant think straight and begin getting worried, do something completely different like walk around or go to the shop, or maybe play a couple games on your phone. this let me not lose my sanity and helped me with revision after school because i was able to do quite a lot of work for a long time without fatigue. but please DO NOT overdo it or it will do more bad than good.

Sorry to hear that you're having a rough time. Stress and exam anxiety can be really crippling. But fair play to you for not ignoring it or pretending it'll be ok with making a change.

If it feels like things are spiralling or getting on top of you, make a plan. The control you'll start to feel will help to over come the nerves and panic.

Start by breaking down your subjects into bite sized topics. Although it'll be a lot, you can start to tick off the things you've done and where you need to focus your efforts. As I say, control is key. When it comes to revision and study time, be realistic about what you can achieve. Above all, remember these mocks are here for you to test out stuff - including your approach.

We make these breakdowns for GCSE subjects but I might be able to help with your A levels if it would be useful as a first step.

Hey year 13 here,

Honestly best advice I can give as someone who also has anxiety is find out what works for you. Start revision early make it manageable not many hours a day and hopefully with that you’ll be ahead of others - knowing you haven’t procrastinated helps ease anxiety. Also build your confidence! Do past papers mark them repeat - once you see your grade/marks improving you’ll feel at ease. Do homework at frees as soon as possible too just to get it out the way (works as revision too if it’s useful homework).

(I should’ve taken this advice sooner 😭)

Also by revision I don’t mean hours and hours a day - start making flash cards as you’re learning content - by the end of lessons that day you can just recall and reinforce your memory!

Best of luck to you 😀 hope you ace your mocks
