Epq topic: Help!!
Hi guys, at the moment my epq title is ‘can false marketing in the beauty industry ever be justified in pursuit of profit?’. However, i fear i will have no arguments for it being justifiable (it clearly isn’t!) I was thinking i could use legal loopholes or struggling businesses as reasons why it might be justifiable but do you think i need a more even debate or does not matter that it will be very heavy on the against fake marketing? If it needs more even debate does anyone have any suggestions of what i could change it to?!

Hope you're well and a big well done and good luck for your EPQ it is a really good academic task to take on, especially for ucas points!
Your topic seems very interesting but also very challenging to talk about and a lot of people may not know about this meaning you can educate them during your presentation part of the EPQ which is good! It does seem to be a difficult topic to argue against so here is a few suggestions!
I think you should keep the topic of the epq the same and the title except change the "can" to "To what extent". this makes it much easier to then do arguments for it such as:
•
beauty is subjective so it may work on some and not on others
•
marketing doesn't guarantee results
•
competitive pressure or needing the business to survive
•
customer demands or industry norms
and then come to your conclusion at the end and say how it isn't justifiable if you haven't changed your mind!
