Parent Marital Status - SFE

I mistakenly said that my mother is divorced instead of single. She, technically is divorced, but that happened yearrrrrrrrs ago, so we always say single on her status. Got my sfe approved but the amount is much less than what I expected. I imagine that the marital status had a big impact on it.
Is there some way for it to be corrected?
A way that DOES NOT involved making another application.
