Urgent ucas help

im currently in sixth year and i have applied for international relations at Glasgow, edinbrugh and St Andrews university and politics at Glasgow and Edinburgh. I’m unsure whether i should change any of my options (I have already sent in my UCAS application so I have 10 days to change my options.)

If I were to change I would be interested in applying for Strathclyde as a safer option, or maybe English unis like durham or Warwick. I’m still quite unsure on these unis as I would have to pay tuition fees and I am not sitting 3 AHs.

I got AAAAAAAB in S4, AAAAB in S5 and i am currently taking 2 advanced highers and crashing 2 highers, predicted BBBA. However, I do have extenuating circumstances on my ucas application due to health issues. Also, I am currently participating in Glasgow University’s top up programme which means my entry for Glasgow, Edinburgh and St Andrews is reduced.

Why are you dithering about the Unis you have already picked?

If you are thinking about adding an English uni, Warwick could be a nice option to consider. A lot of students in politics and international relations here say the department is supportive and the course gives a good balance between theory and real world topics. The campus environment is also something many people like, especially if you prefer a place that feels calm and easy to settle into.

Your grades and circumstances do not automatically put you at a disadvantage. Warwick usually looks at applications in a rounded way, and many students with different qualification routes still do well once they are here. Since you have extenuating circumstances noted on your UCAS form, that will also help the admissions team understand your situation more fairly.
