Irish child of a UK citizen loan application

My child is in first year in a UK college and is yet to apply for her Student Finance. As an Irish born student who has not been living in the UK for the last 3 years we thought she was only entitled to a Tuition Fee loan, however the website says as a child of a British National (I was registered British at birth and have a UK passport) she can apply for a Maintenance Loan as long as she was living in the EU on 31st Dec 2020 and has been living in the EU for the last 3 years. She has lived in the EU all her life but this option does not seem to come up during the application process and automatically defaults to “you are Irish and you haven’t lived here for 3 years and instructs her to complete the paper form for Tuition Loan only. Can you help?

I am not, we are living in Ireland. The child who is studying is now living in the UK since September this year.

Thank you. If they are looking for the maintenance loan they can look to see their eligible as a Migrant Worker (if they are working whilst they study)

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/migrant-worker-evidence-for-student-finance-england

If this doesn't apply to them they can then apply for tuition fees on the EU25N form. Thanks, Jason
