HEO Project Support

I’m currently a HEO in Ops and have been for a couple of years. I’ve also been a HEO as a caseworker in HMRC and enjoyed that but moved into Ops due to caring responsibilities.
I’ve now got an offer for a role as a project support officer at the same grade, however I want to know about progression and experiences of the role?
My reason for leaving Ops is due to the stress involved in people management. I was ready for pregressing to SEO and secured some interviews in Ops, but withdrew from them for the sake of my mental health.
For someone who has progressed from a HEO to an SEO in project support/management, how was your journey?
