Assignment extensions university

Hi,

I go to city uni of London and have an assignment due on Monday at 4pm, I am unfortunately unwell and asked for an extension but after I submitted it said I they'll respond within one working day. It's currently the weekend of course so I'm a tad bit worried that I'll miss the deadline does it matter?

You should be fine. Universities usually consider the day you submit the extension request, not just the response, especially if you submitted it before the weekend. Keep a copy of your request in case you need to show it. If you don’t get a reply by Monday, email your lecturer or the course admin first thing to confirm, just to be safe.
