What are your verdicts on YouTubes new 'cut to the chase' feature?

I notice browsing my phone that YouTube offered a new feature to cut right to the supposed key point of a video. I am very against this because it encourages even lower concentration spans and TikTok is there for this. As an aside could it be argued that although TikTok was probably conceived in amoral opportunism, it's quite dark the way it is causing people's brains to morph with lesser concentration spans (I'm pretty sure there is science behind that). Does that make certain powerful elite people very happy?

You’re right that features like YouTube’s key moment skip and short videos encourage shorter attention spans. Research shows this can make it harder to focus on long tasks, but it doesn’t permanently damage your brain. Tech companies design these features to keep people engaged because it makes money, not because of some secret plan.
